Crusoe and Tallgrass to Build AI Data Center in Wyoming
Crusoe and Tallgrass have announced a strategic partnership to develop a 1.8 gigawatt AI data center campus in southeast Wyoming. This project, designed to scale up to 10 gigawatts, highlights Crusoe's capability to rapidly build large-scale AI infrastructure projects, according to Global Newswire.
The new AI data center will utilize a diverse power strategy, integrating multiple energy sources including natural gas and future renewable energy developments. This approach aims to support high levels of power reliability and efficiency to meet the large computational demands of AI. Additionally, the center's proximity to Tallgrass' existing CO2 sequestration hub will provide long-term carbon capture solutions.
Crusoe's portfolio of AI data centers includes a flagship 1.2 GW data center under construction in Abilene, Texas, and another 1+ GW campus at a new site. This new project in Wyoming is expected to create high-quality jobs across various sectors, including construction, manufacturing, technology, energy, and transportation.
