DAMAC Digital Expands Global Data Center Landbank to 6,000MW
DAMAC Digital, a global digital infrastructure provider owned by DAMAC, announced in a press release that its planned IT capacity landbank has reached 6,000 megawatts across 13 countries. The company now has a portfolio of more than 35 planned sites as it continues its international expansion in response to rising demand for AI and cloud computing infrastructure.
DAMAC Digital aims to reach 2 gigawatts of operational capacity by the end of the first quarter of 2028. It has broken ground on ten new sites in the past five months, with eight expected to be operational by the end of 2026. By early 2027, the company targets over 700 megawatts of operational capacity across more than 14 sites.
The company has signed partnerships with five global hyperscalers and employs more than 600 people across design, procurement, construction, and operations teams spanning three continents. Its European markets include Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, and the Nordic region, while in Asia it is expanding in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Operational capacity has already been achieved in Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
Over 90 percent of DAMAC Digital's data centers are designed with liquid cooling infrastructure to support high-density AI workloads, including NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform. The company leverages DAMAC Group’s experience in land acquisition and construction to secure strategic sites and accelerate capacity delivery across global markets.
