DayOne expands Malaysia financing to US$7.2 billion
DayOne Data Centers increased its senior secured syndicated financing in Malaysia to about US$7.2 billion, the company said in a press release. The financing will support continued construction of its data center platform in Johor.
The financing was arranged by a consortium of seven lenders and expands a roughly US$3.5 billion facility secured in May 2025. DayOne has also raised more than US$6 billion in equity since 2024 and works with over 30 banking partners.
DayOne said capacity generating income under customer contracts has passed 1GW, up from 121MW at the end of 2024. As of September 20, contracted bookings reached about 2.3GW across 15 customers, with reservations of another 1.1GW. DayOne reported 4.6GW of capacity in service, under construction, or supported by secured powered land. Chief executive Jamie Khoo said the support of banks and customers has enabled the company to "unlock strategic capacity for the next generation of AI and cloud infrastructure."
