DeepSeek Reportedly Agrees to Lead Winverse AI Seed Round
DeepSeek has agreed to lead a seed round worth tens of millions of US dollars for robotics AI startup Winverse AI, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter, according to Tech in Asia. The proposed round would value Winverse at about $400 million after the investment.
The deal has not been finalized, and its valuation and list of investors could still change. Long-Z Investments, the venture arm of Meituan, has also committed, the people said. DeepSeek, Hu Han and Long-Z did not respond to Bloomberg's requests for comment, EqualOcean reports.
Winverse was founded this year by Hu Han, a former Tencent scientist who led the company's vision language and embodied foundation model teams. It remains in stealth and has not publicly detailed its technical approach. The investment would add to DeepSeek's moves into embodied AI after it invested in Unitree Robotics' Shanghai initial public offering.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
