DH-Robotics introduced the ADH-5-13, a five finger robotic hand with 13 independently controlled degrees of freedom, at IROS 2026.

DH-Robotics introduced in a press release the ADH-5-13, a five finger robotic hand with 13 independently controlled active degrees of freedom, at IROS 2026 in Pittsburgh. The company says the hand weighs 735 grams and can lift up to 20 kilograms after grasping an object.

The ADH-5-13 uses a direct drive, backdrivable architecture with dual magnetic encoders at each joint. It includes fingertip tactile sensing, supports additional sensor options and provides fingertip positioning repeatability of ±0.2 millimeters. Its sensors and individual modules can be replaced without dismantling the complete hand or finger.

DH-Robotics also demonstrated the UDH-3-7, a three finger hand with seven active degrees of freedom. It supports a payload of up to 15 kilograms, a maximum fingertip force of 50 newtons and positioning repeatability of ±0.02 millimeters. Integration options include CAN FD, RS-485, EtherCAT, C++, Python and ROS 2.
