DIMAAG-AI and Toshiba Develop Battery Storage for AI Data Centers
DIMAAG-AI and Toshiba International Corporation announce a collaboration in a press release to develop energy storage systems for AI infrastructure. Toshiba will supply SCiB lithium titanium oxide battery cells, while DIMAAG-AI will design, manufacture and integrate the battery systems into its ZettaWatt Power Platform.
The platform combines power conversion, energy storage and continuous controls in a modular system that connects the grid to 800 VDC distribution. It is designed to smooth cyclic AI power loads, provide backup power and demand response, support grid stabilization and meet ERCOT low voltage ride through requirements.
The companies are targeting continuous 10C charging and discharging and a service life of more than 10 years. These performance targets remain subject to design, testing, validation and market conditions.
