Dominion Dynamics Raises $139M CAD to Expand Arctic Surveillance and Drone Systems

July 06, 2026
Dominion Dynamics has raised $139 million CAD in Series A financing led by Georgian to expand its Arctic surveillance network and autonomous drone systems. The funding marks the largest Series A round in Canadian defense history and will accelerate development of AuraNet and Scout platforms while growing the company's workforce and production capacity.

Dominion Dynamics has raised 139 million Canadian dollars (about 100 million US dollars) in Series A financing led by Georgian, announced in a press release. The round included participation from Valor Equity Partners, Lakestar, OMERS, Business Development Bank of Canada, Royal Bank of Canada, Deloitte Ventures, JDY Capital, and existing investors including BCI, Bessemer Venture Partners, Garage Capital, Golden Ventures, and Silent Ventures.

The company said the funding will accelerate its AuraNet software platform and Scout, its Autonomous Collaborative Platform, which extends crewed aircraft capabilities in isolated environments. Dominion deployed AuraNet with the Canadian Armed Forces during Operation Nanook-Nunalivut earlier this year, integrating Arctic-hardened sensors to provide unified situational awareness and communications over a two-month period.

The investment will also allow the company to expand its workforce to over 100 employees by year-end and scale operations from its new 25,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Kanata, Ontario, along with a new development office in Toronto. Dominion has recently added engineers from Anduril, Tesla, Rheinmetall, Google, and Rivian, along with Canadian Armed Forces veterans.

Founded in 2025, Dominion has now raised a total of 169 million Canadian dollars. The company’s growth coincides with Canada’s new defence industrial policies and increased spending commitments to support domestic innovation and manufacturing capacity.
