EAIGLE has renamed its Automated Vehicle Access Control technology Blue Gate, a computer vision system that automates vehicle identification and entry at freight facilities.

EAIGLE renamed its Automated Vehicle Access Control technology Blue Gate, the company said in a press release. The computer vision system uses existing cameras to identify vehicles, validate access and automate entry at freight facilities.

EAIGLE presented Blue Gate during its first Yard of the Future Summit in Toronto. The two day event included technology demonstrations and a live presentation of the company’s gate automation system at a Loblaw distribution center.

The company says facilities using its technology have reduced gate dwell times to less than 30 seconds and increased throughput by five times. EAIGLE is supporting deployments across North America and pursuing additional projects in Latin America, Europe and India.
