EDGNEX Unveils $2.3 Billion AI Data Center in Jakarta
EDGNEX Data Centers by DAMAC has announced a significant investment of $2.3 billion in a new AI-powered data center in Jakarta, Indonesia, according to Data Center Dynamics. This facility, which is the company's second in the Indonesian market, is set to become one of Southeast Asia's largest AI-dedicated developments with a future capacity of 144 MW.
Following the land acquisition in March 2025, the construction of the data center has commenced, with the first phase expected to be operational by December 2026. The facility will feature high-density AI racks, setting new benchmarks for next-generation infrastructure in the region.
DAMAC aims to address Indonesia's digital infrastructure gaps and support the country's transition to a robust, AI-powered digital economy. The data center targets a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.32, aligning with EDGNEX's global sustainability standards. This project is part of a broader strategy to expand EDGNEX's presence in Southeast Asia, with a goal of over 300 MW of operational capacity by 2026.
