Exiger Says AI Cut a Three Year Replatforming to Four Months

Exiger says AI wrote 95% of the first generation code for its rebuilt 1Exiger platform, turning a planned three year, $180 million project into four months and $20 million. The figures are the company's own.

Exiger says an upgrade it had planned to take three years and cost $180 million was completed in four months for $20 million, with AI producing 95% of the first generation code, according to a company press release.

Those figures are Exiger's own and have not been independently verified. The comparison is against the company's internal plan for the project rather than against a completed alternative, so it measures what Exiger expected the work to cost, not what it would have cost.

The result is the rebuilt 1Exiger platform, which uses what the company calls autonomous AI agents for supply chain, procurement, readiness, trade management and compliance work. Its 1EXIGER.AI execution layer connects those agents to Exiger's data, models and infrastructure, and the company describes the platform as a central system for information about parts, suppliers, regulators and customers.

The release follows a $1.2 billion investment in 2023 from a group led by The Carlyle Group, Insight Partners and JMI Equity, and three acquisitions that expanded Exiger's data assets.
