Expanse Raises $5.3 Million for AI Compute Planning Software
Expanse raises $5.3 million in a seed funding round led by Crane Venture Partners, the company said in a press release. PXN Ventures and angel investors, including former DeepMind researchers and AI infrastructure executives, also participated.
The company's software predicts the GPU, CPU, memory, and runtime requirements of an AI workload before execution. It runs within a customer's cloud or local infrastructure, and Expanse says code and telemetry remain inside that environment.
Expanse will use the funding to expand its engineering team, develop the product, and reach more customers in AI infrastructure, quantitative finance, life sciences, research, and high performance computing.
