fal Acquires Creative AI Platform Lucent

fal said in a press release that it acquired Lucent, an agent based platform for creative media. Lucent cofounders Dimi Panagiotopoulos and Alex Koumpas will join fal.

Lucent lets users describe advertising projects in plain language while an agent coordinates AI models, edits and brand rules. The platform reached more than 16,000 active creators and generated more than 75,000 assets within three weeks of its November 2025 launch. It later surpassed 30,000 users.

Panagiotopoulos served as Lucent's chief technology officer, while Koumpas was its chief executive. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

fal, a generative media platform offering access to more than 1,000 image, video and audio models through over 1,300 production endpoints, said the deal reflects its view that judgment and orchestration will matter more as the quality of generative AI output converges.
