FANUC America will demonstrate an AI assisted robotic kitting system at FABTECH 2026, the company said in a press release. The system uses Google Cloud and Gemini Enterprise to interpret handwritten work orders and determine the required parts and quantities.

A CRX-20iA collaborative robot equipped with FANUC iRVision captures the handwritten instructions and sends them to a Gemini Enterprise agent. An LR Mate robot then picks and places the specified components.

FANUC will also show robotic systems for welding, plasma cutting, laser processing and painting. The exhibits include the FABTECH debuts of its CRX-3iA collaborative robot and P-55/15-21A paint robot.
