Robotics startup Figure AI is in talks to raise $1.5 billion in a funding round that would value the company at $39.5 billion, according to Bloomberg. The Series C round is expected to be led by Align Ventures and Parkway Venture Capital.

Figure AI, known for developing humanoid robots, has previously raised $675 million, valuing the company at $2.6 billion. The startup's notable investors include OpenAI, Nvidia, Microsoft, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. The company has already secured BMW as a customer and is reportedly in discussions with a second commercial client.

The startup aims to ship 100,000 humanoid robots over the next four years, focusing on tasks that are dangerous or tedious for humans.
