Firefly Technology raised $20 million in Series A funding to expand its workplace safety platform, according to SiliconANGLE. Definition Capital led the round, with participation from BoxGroup and Susa Ventures.

Firefly's Ember Safety Management platform connects existing cameras, radios and sensors. It uses data from those devices to detect incidents, provide context and coordinate a response.

The company also makes wearable panic buttons, AI beacons that locate activated panic buttons and detect gunshots, and a network gateway for maintaining connections. Front Range Community College in Colorado uses the system across three campuses, and Firefly plans to expand deployments at educational facilities, hospitals and corporate campuses.

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
