FirstLight Fiber Signs Hyperscaler for 240 Mile Albany to Boston Route
FirstLight Fiber announced in a press release an agreement to provide an unnamed hyperscaler with connectivity along a 240 route mile fiber path between Albany, New York, and Boston, Massachusetts.
The route will carry high capacity, low latency data traffic between the two metropolitan areas. Albany will serve as a primary regeneration and colocation point, allowing the customer to add infrastructure as its requirements grow.
FirstLight operates 20,000 route miles of network infrastructure across Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. The company reports more than 125,000 serviceable locations.
