Flexcompute Raises Funding for Physics World Model
Flexcompute said in a press release that it received a strategic investment from Samsung Ventures, Applied Ventures, LLC, and other investors. The company did not disclose the investment amount.
Flexcompute will use the funding to expand its research team, add GPU computing capacity, and extend its Physics World Model across fluid dynamics, electromagnetics, structures, heat, and coupled physics. The model combines neural networks with physics principles to predict how designs will behave under physical conditions.
Customers can access the model through Physics Twins, which represent their products for testing and optimization before manufacturing. Flexcompute said it used the technology to solve a 5 billion degree of freedom warpage model for an advanced semiconductor package in minutes, with results within 2% of commercial finite element simulations.
