Function Launches Medical Intelligence Lab and Lowers Membership Cost
Function has launched its Medical Intelligence Lab, a new research initiative designed to combine AI with medical expertise to provide a comprehensive view of individual health data, announced in a press release. The lab brings together clinicians, researchers, and technologists to integrate information from lab tests, imaging, wearables, IoT devices, and medical records into a unified system.
The Medical Intelligence Lab will focus on identifying early health signals and continuously updating insights using global medical research. Function members will gain early access to three new AI-powered features: Private AI Chat, which provides personalized, data-informed responses to health questions; Protocols, which translate complex health data into actionable steps; and Upload Health Records, allowing members to securely store and integrate past medical data.
Function also lowered its annual membership fee from $499 to $365, offering access to over 160 lab tests and advanced imaging options. The company recently completed a $298 million oversubscribed Series B funding round led by Redpoint Ventures, bringing its valuation to $2.5 billion. The funding will support the expansion of Medical Intelligence and the company’s broader mission to make proactive health management more accessible.
