Galbot Introduces DexNDM and NavFoM for Advanced Robotic Dexterity and Navigation
Galbot has unveiled two embodied AI technologies, DexNDM and NavFoM, developed with Tsinghua University, Peking University, University of Adelaide, and Zhejiang University, announced in a press release.
DexNDM, short for Dexterous Hand Neural Dynamics Model, enables robots to perform precise in-hand object rotations across multiple axes and postures. It supports various object shapes and sizes and includes a teleoperation system for high-dexterity control.
NavFoM, described as the world's first cross-embodiment, cross-task navigation foundation model, allows autonomous navigation in both indoor and outdoor environments. It adapts to different robot types and tasks without retraining.
According to Galbot, these dual developments mark progress in robotic manipulation and mobility, with potential applications in manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and retail.
