Gneuton Introduces Water Purification for AI Data Centers
Gneuton has launched a patented thermal distillation technology that purifies water using waste heat from gas turbine-powered AI data centers, announced in a press release. This innovative solution aims to transform data centers into carbon-neutral sources of fresh water, addressing the growing water demands of AI infrastructure.
The technology utilizes the excess thermal energy from gas turbines to drive a distillation process, producing purified water without additional energy input. This closed-loop system is designed to be sustainable, scalable, and cost-effective, allowing data centers to reduce their environmental impact while generating fresh water as a byproduct.
Gneuton's solution is engineered for integration into large-scale AI data centers, with modular designs capable of producing millions of gallons of purified water annually. The company plans to deploy its first commercial pilots within the next six months, targeting major AI hubs in North America, Europe, and Asia.
