GoDaddy Launches Node.js Hosting API for AI Coding Tools

GoDaddy announced in a press release the launch of Node.js Hosting, a service for publishing web applications built by developers, freelancers, or AI coding tools. Developers and AI coding agents can create, deploy, and manage applications through the GoDaddy API without using a dashboard.

Users can upload a ZIP file or connect a GitHub repository to create a private preview, then connect a domain to publish the application. GoDaddy automatically configures HTTPS, a content delivery network, and a web application firewall. The API supports application creation, source code uploads, publishing, environment secret management, and access to build and application logs.

The service includes separate preview and production environments, persistent Node.js processes, automatic framework detection, dependency installation, and a managed MySQL database. Customers can create up to two private preview applications without a hosting plan or credit card, while publication requires a GoDaddy Web Hosting plan.
