GOFO Adds AI Parcel Sorting System at Lyon Hub

GOFO will launch an automated parcel sorting system at its Lyon hub in late November 2026. The system uses AI cameras and mechanical sorting to process up to 6,500 parcels per hour.

GOFO will launch an automated parcel sorting system at its Lyon hub in late November 2026, the company announced in a press release. The system combines AI cameras with mechanical sorting and covers approximately 870 square meters.

GOFO says the system automates 80% of sorting operations, processes up to 6,500 parcels per hour, and handles more than 90% of parcel types. It occupies about half the space of a traditional linear sorter and is expected to improve overall efficiency by 50%.

The hub will process parcels weighing up to 5 kg using GOFO's routing technology. The company plans to recruit and train staff as operations ramp up from mid October.
