GRAI Partners With MassiveMusic for Music Catalog and AI Training Data

Oct 15, 2026
GRAI will use MassiveMusic for licensed catalog delivery, music metadata and an optional participation dataset for training its music model.

GRAI is partnering with MassiveMusic for music catalog infrastructure and licensed AI training data, the companies announced in a press release. The agreements support GRAI's upcoming social streaming service and its music foundation model.

MassiveMusic will deliver commercial recordings from participating independent labels and distributors through a single feed. It will also provide metadata covering more than 30 attributes, including mood, energy, instrumentation, key and era, for GRAI's search and recommendation systems. Rights holders will receive usage reports and payment for plays under the applicable agreements.

A separate agreement gives GRAI access to a dataset approved by rights holders specifically for AI training. GRAI will use it to train a model designed to analyze melody, harmony and rhythm. The training license does not authorize later creative uses of the covered recordings or compositions.

GRAI is testing early versions of its service with a MassiveMusic test catalog before a public launch. The company has not provided a launch date.
