GreyNoise Launches Global Observation Grid for Real-Time Threat Intelligence
GreyNoise Intelligence has launched the Global Observation Grid, described as the world's largest and most sophisticated sensor network for monitoring global attack traffic. The network, which consists of 5,000 sensors across 80 countries, processes half a billion sessions daily, providing real-time, verifiable intelligence on internet scanning and exploitation.
The Global Observation Grid aims to address the challenges organizations face in reducing perimeter risk, as automated scanning and exploitation generate massive volumes of security logs. By offering comprehensive and actionable intelligence, the Grid helps defenders improve the signal-to-noise ratio in security operations, allowing them to focus on the most critical threats.
According to Andrew Morris, Founder and Chief Architect of GreyNoise, the Grid provides real-time insights with verifiable proof of attacker activity targeting edge devices. This capability is intended to enhance the effectiveness of security operations centers (SOCs) by prioritizing urgent vulnerabilities and preventing reconnaissance and exploitation on networks.
