GrubMarket has released an AI analyst that combines USDA produce pricing reports with distributor sales and purchasing records. Users can compare prices, examine regional trends, assess suppliers, and identify potential margin losses through natural language questions.

GrubMarket announced in a press release the USDA Pricing AI Analyst, a tool within its GrubAssist AI platform. It gives produce distributors and wholesalers conversational access to fruit and vegetable pricing data from the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service.

The analyst combines USDA market reports with a distributor's sales and purchasing records. Users can ask natural language questions about price trends, regional differences, sales performance, supplier pricing, and potential margin losses.

The tool can compare selling prices with USDA shipping point benchmarks, examine pricing across regions, and rank suppliers by variance from market data. It is available through the GrubAssist AI chat interface on mobile and desktop, with ERP comparisons available when connected to a distributor's system.
