Guideway Care Acquires Waypoint Healthcare Solutions to Expand AI-Driven Patient Activation
Guideway Care has completed the acquisition of Waypoint Healthcare Solutions, expanding its Enterprise Evidence-Based Patient Activation Intelligence platform, announced in a press release. The integration aims to create a unified architecture for managing healthcare execution across pre- and post-encounter stages.
Waypoint’s team, including founders Lisa McDermott and David Bradshaw, has joined Guideway Care. The acquisition adds AI and virtual agent capabilities to Guideway’s platform, enabling more personalized patient interactions and improving efficiency in areas such as referral management, care transitions, and chronic condition management.
Guideway’s Activation Intelligence combines structured patient activation science, proprietary non-clinical data, and AI-driven orchestration to ensure clinical instructions translate into completed actions. The solution is designed to help hospitals, health systems, and risk-bearing entities improve measurable outcomes like referral closure, adherence, and value-based contract performance.
