Haslam Launches Institute for the Future of Business
Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, launched the Institute for the Future of Business, the college said in a press release. The institute will connect business leaders, researchers, educators and students to study how AI and other emerging technologies affect companies, workers and business education.
Companies will bring business problems to Haslam for research and classroom projects. Students will work on industry projects, while faculty and researchers will examine topics including technology investment, productivity, workforce preparation and organizational change.
The institute was created alongside Haslam's inaugural AInnovation Summit but will cover technologies beyond AI. It is separate from AI Tennessee, the university's interdisciplinary AI research group.
