HD Hyundai and Fraser Industries to Modernize U.S. Shipyards
HD Hyundai announced in a press release that HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering signed a memorandum of understanding with Fraser Industries to work on U.S. shipyard modernization.
The companies plan to cooperate across shipyard construction and operations. The work includes shipyard assessments, solution design, yard and factory layout design, robotics and automation systems, and measures for cost, schedule, quality, and productivity.
The agreement also covers AI and data driven digital solutions, supply chain expansion, and workforce training. HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering said this is its first project since adding the development and supply of digital engineering and manufacturing platforms to its business objectives.
