Healthleap Raises $38 Million for Hospital Risk Screening AI

Oct 7, 2026
Healthleap raised $38 million to expand software that analyzes hospital records and flags patients who may need further clinical review.

Healthleap raised $38 million in seed and Series A funding, according to TechCrunch. The financing includes an $8 million seed round led by Sequoia Capital and First Round Capital, plus a $30 million Series A led by Hummingbird Ventures.

Healthleap connects to hospital electronic health record systems and analyzes clinical notes alongside lab results, vital signs, medications and other structured data. It assigns risk scores to flag patients who may need further review for conditions including malnutrition and delirium. The software does not diagnose patients.

The platform is deployed in more than 50 hospitals, including Penn Medicine, Cedars-Sinai, Intermountain, Houston Methodist and Emory Healthcare. Healthleap plans to use the funding for engineering, product, sales and customer support as it adds more conditions and expands into outpatient and home care.
