Hesai Group Receives One Million Unit Lidar Order from European Automaker
Hesai Group announced in a press release that it has secured a new design win from a leading European automaker. The order exceeds one million lidar units and spans more than ten vehicle models across the automaker's joint venture brands in China.
The deal follows Hesai's recently announced Level 3 program with Mercedes-Benz and strengthens its position in the advanced driver assistance systems market. The lidar model involved, Hesai ATX, is a compact long range sensor designed for Level 2 ADAS applications. It features proprietary addressable photon isolation technology that supports early hazard detection and improved active safety.
Hesai stated that the ATX has been in mass production since 2025 and has become the best selling long range lidar in the ADAS segment, with more than one million units delivered and an order backlog exceeding six million units. The company has now secured design wins from 40 automakers covering over 160 vehicle models.
According to a report by Yole Group cited in the announcement, Hesai held a 43 percent share of the global long range ADAS lidar market in 2025.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
