Hikvision announced in a press release the global rollout of Hik-Connect 7, an upgrade to its cloud based security software for Team Mode and Personal Mode users. The release adds the HIKO cloud based AI engine and a redesigned interface, without requiring separate HIKO hardware.

HIKO includes AI Guardian, AI Search and AI Assistant. AI Guardian supports focused monitoring, notifications written in natural language, tiered deterrence responses and summaries of activity from the previous 24 hours.

AI Search lets users ask questions about recorded scenes and combine video, access control and license plate information in one search. AI Assistant accepts natural language instructions for setup tasks, including configuring visitor access for a specific vehicle.

The update is rolling out through the existing Hik-Connect app and portal. It also applies to devices already connected to the service.
