Hippo is expanding its homeowners insurance business nationally while using its Clara conversational AI agent to increase claims capacity.

Hippo Holdings Inc. said in a press release that it is expanding its homeowners insurance business nationally while increasing claims capacity through AI, automation and adjusters. The company introduced Clara, a conversational AI claims agent available around the clock, in April 2026.

Clara collects claim details and finds relevant policy information for adjusters. Based on internal data from August 2026, the agent completed 81% of attempted first notice of loss calls without human assistance.

From April through August, customers with claims handled by Hippo received initial contact within an average of 1.2 business hours. In August, 84% of surveyed customers with closed and paid claims said they were very or extremely satisfied with the claims process.

Hippo also uses image recognition, remote inspections and digital tools to support claim triage, document reviews, summaries and damage assessments. Customers can submit damage photos and claim information by phone.

The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
