HL Klemove and Lenovo Partner on AI Computers for Autonomous Vehicles
HL Klemove and Lenovo will jointly develop high performance AI computing systems for autonomous vehicles, the companies said in a press release, which is published in German. The partnership agreement was signed at Lenovo's research and development center in Shanghai on September 8.
The companies will first develop computing systems for vehicles, then pursue contracts with global automakers and implement mass production programs. HL Klemove will lead business development and manufacturing using its customer network and production sites in South Korea, China, India, and North America.
Lenovo is expanding its AI computing business into automotive systems, with a focus on Level 4 autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance. HL Klemove produces sensor and control components for Level 2 and Level 2+ driver assistance systems.
