Huawei presents grid interactive AI data center solution in Shanghai

Huawei presented a grid interactive AI data center solution at HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 in Shanghai, the company said in a press release. The system coordinates computing and power infrastructure to improve tokens per watt and reduce the cost of generating tokens.

The AIDC 1.0 design combines grid interactive uninterruptible power supplies, smart lithium batteries and grid forming energy storage. Huawei also introduced an AI based liquid cooling system that predicts the condition of working fluids and supports predictive maintenance.

Huawei said its approach also uses layered hybrid energy storage to improve power quality and grid compatibility. Modular prefabricated construction is intended to shorten delivery times for AI data centers.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
