Huawei Unveils Immersive Telepresence System
Huawei unveiled an immersive telepresence system at HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 in Shanghai, the company said in a press release. The system combines panoramic video, spatial audio and modular screens for remote meetings.
The CloudLink Camera 610 uses an AI panoramic fusion system to produce distortion free images and life size representations of participants. The audio setup separates noise and locates sound, while IdeaPresence screens display 1.07 billion colors and can be arranged for different room sizes.
The system automatically switches between standing and sitting modes and supports sharing through HDMI or IdeaShare. Audio and video watermarks can help identify recorded material and trace potential data leaks.
Huawei is also opening software development kits for interface controls, services, hardware acceleration, media processing, whiteboards and audio and video data. Supported integrations include office systems, cloud meeting services outside mainland China and smart classrooms based on OpenHarmony.
