IBM and Arm Partner on Dual-Architecture Hardware for AI Workloads
IBM and Arm Holdings Plc have announced a strategic collaboration to create new dual-architecture hardware for enterprise computing, announced in a press release. The partnership aims to help businesses run AI and data-intensive workloads with greater flexibility, reliability, and security.
The collaboration will combine IBM’s expertise in system design, security, and scalability with Arm’s power-efficient architecture and broad software ecosystem. The companies plan to expand virtualization technologies to allow Arm-based software environments to operate within IBM’s enterprise platforms, improving software compatibility and deployment options.
IBM and Arm are also exploring methods to meet high-availability, performance, and data sovereignty requirements for modern workloads. Their efforts include enabling enterprise systems to recognize and execute Arm applications while maintaining the reliability and operational standards enterprises require.
A further focus of the partnership is on long-term ecosystem growth. By establishing shared technology layers, IBM and Arm intend to broaden software ecosystems and give enterprises more flexibility to adopt new applications and architectures without disrupting existing systems.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
