iFLYTEK Wins CNCF Award for AI Infrastructure with Volcano
iFLYTEK has been recognized by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) for its innovative use of Volcano in scaling AI infrastructure, as announced in a press release. The company won the CNCF End User Case Study Contest for its successful implementation of Volcano, which will be showcased at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon China 2025.
iFLYTEK faced challenges with scaling its AI model training due to inefficient scheduling and resource management. By adopting Volcano, a cloud-native batch system built on Kubernetes, iFLYTEK improved GPU utilization by 40%, reduced job failure recovery time by 70%, and accelerated hyperparameter search by 50%. These improvements have streamlined operations and reduced infrastructure costs.
Volcano's advanced scheduling capabilities, such as job orchestration and resource fairness, have been pivotal in managing iFLYTEK's large-scale, distributed tasks efficiently. The company's success story highlights the potential of open-source tools in addressing complex AI infrastructure challenges.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
