Illumina Launches BioInsight Platform for Genomic Research
Illumina is expanding its BioInsight data, software and AI business with BioInsight Platform, a unified software environment for genomic and multiomic research, the company said in a press release. The platform provides a single sign on for analysis applications, genomic AI models and curated biological datasets.
BioInsight Platform includes DRAGEN, Emedgene, Connected Multiomics, BaseSpace, BioInsight Data and the recently released SpliceAI2 model for rare disease research. BioInsight Data organizes public and proprietary datasets into a harmonized and annotated catalog covering oncology, rare disease, population health and multiomics.
Illumina also released DRAGEN v4.6, which adds deployment options for supported cloud services and standard CPU environments. Access uses BioInsight Credits, a usage based model that replaces annual subscriptions and lets researchers adopt the capabilities most relevant to their work.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
