Info-Tech Warns AI Agents Can Make Product Decisions Without Approval
Info-Tech Research Group says AI agents are increasingly participating in product workflows and may influence or execute decisions without explicit human authorization, the firm said in a press release.
Its Make the Case for Product Delivery blueprint outlines five steps for moving to product centered delivery. These cover defining the product, setting drivers and goals, recognizing AI agent participation in decisions, communicating the next actions and presenting the case to stakeholders.
The guidance calls for clear product ownership, defined decision authority, human approval and override paths, and accountability for outcomes. Supporting materials include a workbook, presentation template, a map of human and agent decisions, and a roadmap organized around current, upcoming and later work.
