Infor and AWS Introduce Agentic AI for Manufacturing Operations

April 21, 2026
Infor and Amazon Web Services have announced new industry-specific AI agents designed to help manufacturers automate and optimize key workflows, available through the Infor Velocity Suite.

Infor and Amazon Web Services announced in a press release new industry-specific AI agents built on AWS to support manufacturing and distribution enterprises. The collaboration enables companies to create and deploy AI agents that reason, plan, and act across business workflows, addressing challenges in scaling AI for both discrete and process manufacturing.

The new agents operate across areas such as project management, inventory flow, financial operations, and quality control. They are built on AWS infrastructure designed for critical workloads, allowing manufacturers to scale from pilot projects to full production. The agents can also be customized through Infor Agent Factory using tools like Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and Amazon SageMaker.

Infor highlighted Xpress Boats, a U.S. manufacturer of aluminum boats, as an early adopter that achieved a 98 percent improvement in process issue diagnosis speed, a 95 percent reduction in returns processing time, and a 50 percent cut in expedited shipping costs after implementing Infor Velocity Suite and related AI tools.

The new agent capabilities are currently in limited availability through Infor Velocity Suite, which offers AI solutions and tools for Infor CloudSuite customers in manufacturing and distribution industries.
