Insurify blocks Meta's Muse from insurance marketplace
Insurify said in a press release that it blocked Meta's Muse personal AI agent from accessing its insurance comparison platforms. The company said automated scraping could show prices without coverage limits, deductibles, discounts, eligibility requirements, required disclosures or carrier attribution.
Insurify also said bulk quote requests can trigger driving record checks and, where permitted, credit based insurance score checks. These checks can create costs for insurers without producing new customers.
The company continues to provide access for AI agents through its APIs and MCP integrations. Its ChatGPT plugin returns quotes with coverage details and carrier attribution, and can connect users with licensed agents. Insurify said it is open to working with Meta on a Muse connector that meets its privacy, security and consumer information requirements.
