Former Anthropic Researcher Jacob Coxon Discusses AI Risks With Jon Stewart
Jacob Coxon, a former researcher at Anthropic and OpenAI, appeared on The Daily Show for an interview with Jon Stewart, following an appearance previewed by LateNighter.
Coxon discussed risks from increasingly capable AI systems, including malicious hacking and potential biological attacks. He also criticized the pace and safety practices of companies training advanced models.
Coxon worked in pretraining research for three years before resigning from Anthropic in September 2026 over AI safety concerns.
