JFrog and Hugging Face Enhance ML Model Security
JFrog has announced a partnership with Hugging Face to bolster the security of machine learning (ML) models on the Hugging Face Hub. In a press release, JFrog detailed the integration, which will provide enhanced security scans for ML models, displaying a 'JFrog Certified' checkmark to indicate safer models for developers and data scientists.
The collaboration aims to address security concerns related to ML model usage, especially after the discovery of malicious models in early 2024. JFrog's advanced security tools, including JFrog Xray and JFrog Advanced Security, will now work with Hugging Face to provide detailed scans of AI/ML models, allowing users to see the security status before downloading.
This integration introduces a sophisticated scanning process that focuses on identifying potentially harmful embedded codes, significantly reducing false positives compared to existing solutions. The partnership is expected to enhance trust and transparency in the use of open-source ML models, providing developers with greater peace of mind when deploying AI applications.
