JPMorgan Blocks Outside AI Agents From Customer Accounts

JPMorgan Chase is blocking outside AI agents from operating customer accounts, though approved connectors can provide read only access to some account data.

JPMorgan Chase is blocking outside AI agents from operating retail customer accounts, according to CNBC. CEO Jamie Dimon said the bank considers direct account access too risky for customers and JPMorgan.

Agents can access some account information, such as balances, through connectors including Plaid when authorized by a customer. They cannot send money or pay bills, and the bank has not provided a timeline for allowing such transactions.

JPMorgan is testing its own agent called Smart Cash with a limited group of users. The tool predicts cash flow and moves funds to increase yield. Dimon also said customers who authorize outside agents should understand the risks and potential transfer of liability.

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
