Legal AI Trust Rises With Use Among Arbitration Professionals
The American Arbitration Association and Jus Mundi said in a press release that regular AI users in arbitration report greater trust in the technology than people who do not use it. The survey of 557 US arbitration professionals found that daily users gave AI a trust score of 3.42 out of 5, compared with 0.83 among people who do not use it.
Accuracy problems, including hallucinations, were the leading concern, cited by 78% of respondents. Participants expect AI to handle document review, proofreading, cite checking, timeline creation and legal research, while 52% expect strategic judgment to become more valuable.
More than half of professionals with less than three years of experience use AI daily or weekly. Regular use was below 30% among those with at least 15 years of experience. Respondents ranked institutional guidelines and best practices as the top priority for responsible adoption, followed by AI tools designed for arbitration.
