Leidos and DHL Form Alliance for UK Defence Logistics Modernisation
Leidos and DHL Supply Chain have formed a strategic alliance to provide integrated logistics capabilities for the UK Ministry of Defence's Future Defence Support Services programme, announced in a press release.
Operating under the name Logistics and Mission Support Alliance, the partnership combines Leidos' experience in defence integration with DHL's global logistics network. The alliance will act as a single, unified team designed to support the Ministry of Defence in strengthening supply chain resilience and agility across military operations.
If selected through the competitive bidding process, the alliance will focus on maintaining uninterrupted supply and rapid recovery capabilities during disruptions. It intends to use technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and automation to improve visibility across demand, inventory, and assets.
According to the announcement, these enhancements aim to enable better decision-making and operational efficiency for the United Kingdom's Armed Forces while modernising defence logistics through a technology-based approach.
