LG Forum Examines Physical AI in US Manufacturing

LG Group held a Washington policy forum on the use of physical AI in US manufacturing, robotics and supply chains. The event also detailed how LG and NVIDIA are training robots for industrial tasks.

LG Group said in a press release that it held a Washington policy forum on physical AI in US manufacturing, robotics and supply chains on September 29. Participants discussed semiconductors, batteries, energy infrastructure and cooperation between the US and South Korea.

Speakers included representatives from Micron, Bear Robotics, the office of US Representative Sam Liccardo and the Special Competitive Studies Project. The discussion covered industrial capacity and policies for deploying AI through robotics, autonomous systems and smart factories.

LG also detailed its work with NVIDIA using Omniverse libraries, Cosmos world models and the NVIDIA Isaac robotics platform. The companies are creating robot training data and simulating processes at an LG Electronics appliance factory in Tennessee, where LG CLOiD robots are being trained to move, stack and assemble parts.
