Loadsmart Launches AI Agents for Freight Workflows
Loadsmart announced in a press release the launch of Loadsmart AI, a set of agents that handles repetitive, high volume freight workflows in shippers' existing systems. Loadsmart says about 80% of tasks are completed without human intervention.
The agents collect and file documents, track carriers, provide status updates, manage failed tenders and retendering, audit loads, process claims, and schedule docks. They connect through API, EDI, MCP, and other existing integrations, and operate under rules and controls defined by each customer.
Loadsmart's in house freight operators handle cases that the agents cannot resolve, while the shipper retains control over freight decisions. The service is available immediately, starting with a free proof of concept for one workflow. Customers do not pay if the agent does not complete the work, and an average proof of concept takes 60 days.
