Manus Parent Raises More Than $500 Million After Meta Split
Manus AI parent The Butterfly Effect raised more than $500 million in its first funding round since its canceled $2 billion sale to Meta, according to TechCrunch. The financing follows reports in September that the company was seeking $500 million at a $4 billion valuation.
Boyu Capital and IDG Capital led the round. Existing investors Tencent, HSG, ZhenFund and others also participated. The company did not disclose its valuation and said it will continue hiring in China and other countries.
Chinese authorities ordered Manus to unwind the Meta transaction in April. Manus resumed independent operations in August and is reportedly considering a public listing in Hong Kong.
