McLean & Company Report Finds Few HR Teams Assess AI's Human Impact

McLean & Company found that only 20% of HR teams consistently assess AI use cases for their effects on human centricity before implementation.

McLean & Company released The Power of Human Centricity report on October 5, the firm said in a press release. The report examines how HR teams incorporate employee considerations into AI adoption, work design and decision making.

Survey data cited in the report shows that 82.2% of organizations and 88.1% of HR teams consider themselves human centric. However, only 20% of HR teams consistently assess AI use cases for their effects on human centricity before implementation.

The report provides guidance for evaluating technology effects, employee agency, psychological safety, retention and organizational performance. It also covers HR service delivery and HR's role in technology decisions.
